“Perfection in Paradise”

We arrived on the Island by helicopter transfer and that was a great choice. It takes about 30 minutes from the domestic terminal at Nadi airport to fly over to the resort and well worth it, for the views of the main island and then the crystal clear water and reefs. We landed on a small area on the island and are greeted by Margaret and Ron (Managers of the Resort) and its from that moment, You know that everything is going to be special.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here, and we loved every minute of it! Margaret, Ron, and the rest of the staff were absolutely phenomenal, and we are so thankful to everyone there for making our stay so memorable.

“Tropical Island Paradise”

The Management- The Managers (husband and wife) were excellent, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. When one small dietary issue came up they handled it appropriately and fast.

My husband and I just visited Sasaab on our honeymoon. We were there for 2 nights and our only regret was not staying longer. Gabriel was our guide for our two days of drives and he couldn't have been more knowledgeable and sweet. Ron and Margaret, the managers, were so lovely and fun.

I can't say enough kind things about Margaret and Ron who made us feel right at home. They treated us as if we were there house guests and made sure to include us in conversations and spoke with us at dinner and really were tremendous. You couldn't ask for better managers.

Our first stop was Sasaab and we were met by Ron & Margaret and their excellent team! They really take time to get to know each guest and make sure you experience there is exceptional. Again, we felt completely safe as security would walk you to your rooms each night and be on call 24/7.

“Truly Incredible!”

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Sasaab for 3 nights out of our 9 night Safari trip and Sasaab was my absolute favorite!

The resort itself is incredibly beautiful, Ron and Margaret are doing an amazing job running this resort. They made us feel very welcome and right at home. Ron & Maragaret were also great about giving us such wonderful insight about the surrounding land, animals and the people who live on it. You could tell just how truly invested they are in the area and how much they love the culture there themselves. All the staff was wonderful.

Sasaab was the icing on the cake when it came to our safari experience. WOW just cannot describe our first impressions - magnificent views to the Ewaso Nyiro river (with its abundant wildlife), a very different wilderness landscape, ginormous lodging/tent complete with it's own private plunge pool, and a very warm welcome from the managers, Ron & Margaret. Whatever we wanted to do Ron & Margaret were willing to facilitate & if it was just to relax, that was fine too.

My expectations were high but Sasaab exceeded them. Ron and Margaret were extremely hospitable; they know how to manage a hotel and make guests feel welcome. The buildings themselves are stunning and beautifully decorated but still live-able and welcoming. I stayed in cottage #2 and was delighted with all the attention to detail: the beadwork, the welcome note, the tote bag for use while I was there and so many other touches.

“An extraordinary place to visit”

My daughter and I came here after a long and tiring series of flights from the US via London, to find the most lovely and welcoming lodge imaginable. The hosts, Ron and Margaret, could not have done more to make our visit extraordinary.

“Well connected to the land, the villages, the animals”

I just took my 11 year old grandaughter on her dream trip to Kenya. I've been to Kenya 3 times in the last 5 years. I always feel comfortable when I am there: safe and well cared for, even though there are sometimes travel advisories.

Here's what we loved about the camp: the place, the design, the people, the animals, the close proximity to villages, Margaret's precision and thoughtfulness, Ron's big heart, the food, the other guests, the swimming pool and the individual dipping pools, the guides and chui. We finally saw a leopard

Have just had the most amazing time at Sasaab. The lodge blends so well with the surroundings but internally has the most amazing Morrocan design. Glamping is a complete understatement! Margaret and Ron were the most welcoming hosts, treating us to a sundowner on leopard rock where we watched the sun set on the beautiful Samburu.

“Spectacular! (believe the hype)”

As most people step out of their vehicles and into the Sasaab tented lobby, they gasp. The lodge is a wonder - a plush Swahili resort hanging on a cliff in the middle of the bush. The architectual feat aside, the attention to detail makes Sasaab a 5-star experience. Every meal is tortured over, the chef putting together gourmet salads, grills and wine pairings that befit a Michelin star. Sasaab's managers; Ron and Margaret have a super-human ability to meet every request; and will delight you with stories of their life in Samburu. The rooms - which are more like 'homes- are massive; each featuring a bath area, plunge pool, lounging deck with recliners (or, for the more romantically inclined, "star beds"). The luxury does come at a price - rates are advertised on their website. Keep in mind

We spent eight nights at Namale to celebrate our 30th anniversary. This was the sixth time we had been to Fiji on vacation, and each time we thought nothing could top this. Well, Namale topped them all. The friendliness of the staff, the quality of the service and the superior management team of Ron and Margaret make this place an unforgettable experience. We were so impressed by the service we received from the dining room manager, the scuba dive staff and just everyone. It was truly amazing how everyone from management to the housekeeping staff knew us by name.

Cocktail hour was a highlight of the day with Namale’s expert bar man, Kele, indulging us with a special cocktail every night. It was also a good opportunity to meet the other guests, and the Managers, Ron and Margaret from the United States who are fantastic people and perfect hosts. We especially enjoyed Ron’s sense of humour!

For those who like golf Ron has developed his own 9 hole golf course and would love to take you for a round.
